Our elected officials are in the process of approving a large mulch and distribution company (CST) behind Coopers Corner. CST brings nothing to our community but more stinky mulch piles, high volume of semi traffic, noise from the manufacturing of mulch, no new jobs, and very little revenue to the city. As residents we need to ask the question " What benefits does CST bring to our community?" I am all for bringing in new business to our community but not at the expense of CURRENT RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES.

People use them a lot and it is great to get together with other dog owners and let the dogs play and run without worry of being hit by a car or taking off and getting lost.

Someone really needs to contact some of the newer chains (Hi-vee) that are thinking about coming to the area or existing chains (Festival, County Market, Coborn's, etc) and do some negotiating with tax breaks or whatever.

Re-evaluate your policies for lost animals. I am outraged with what is happening to that poor family and their dog - absolutely outraged! Get that dog back to their family! I am not from East Bethel - Vadnais Heights is my home. After hearing this story I took the time to find out how Vadnais handles these situations - much, much better, more efficient, less costly and certainly more caring than yours appears to be. Do the right thing and get that dog back to its family before Christmas! How cruel and unnecessary this situation is!! Make your city proud! Change your policy and procedures and at the risk of repeating myself - get that dog back to it's rightful family!!!

The mayor and city council seem to be out of touch with the community they serve. We live in East Bethel because it's quiet and away from a large population and traffic. So by bringing in more you may make more people who want to move here happy but you forgot about the people who already live here. The transparency of the city council does not exist. Also, please stop catering to the Met Council, it's embarrassing.

Pave Xylite and 216th Ave NE. Xylite is in very poor condition and is not kept up often enough. It should be a top priority for paving because of the amount of traffic on it.
