The bison are back in East Bethel at the Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve!

The bison arrived June 13, 2018 and are grazing in the oak savannas at the Cedar Creek ESR. Cedar Creek invites you to visit the bison viewing gazebo and learn about their savanna research on Saturdays beginning June 30th. Trained naturalists will be on hand with bison artifacts, information, and enthusiasm from 9:00 a.m. to 12 Noon. The gazebo is accessible via the Fish Lake Nature Trail and a new gazebo extension. Additional viewing opportunities will be available throughout the summer. Keep an eye on the Upcoming Events page on Cedar Creek's website, www.cedarcreek.umn.edu and their facebook page for details! Please note that the herd ranges across a 200 plus acre enclosure so it is not guaranteed that the bison will be visible at any given moment. Keep your fingers crossed for good viewing luck!
